What is SPX Polyethylene Foam?

Expanded polyethylene (aka SPX foam) refers to foams made from polyethylene. It is manufactured from plastic pellets, and a blowing agent is used to expand the material in a mould heated by steam. It is primarily used in material for packaging goods as it is lightweight, resilient and flexible. It has excellent shock absorption and cushioning properties. SPX expanded polyethylene sheets also have a tremendous weight-to-strength ratio and high thermal resistance. 

Advantages of SPX Foam

This product range does not contain any CFCs or HCFCs. Expanded polyethylene is impervious to mild alkalis and acids, certain oils, and is enduring to outdoor conditions. It has no toxicity and remarkable capability for absorption. Our high quality closed cell foam has outstanding resistance to water, making it a superb option for buoyancy. Fire retardant and rough cell materials are also available.

Density: 60 kg/m3; Temperature range: -20°C to 100°C; Shore Hardness: "00" 39-53, 47-63, 43-73, 65-70; "A°" 23-32, 39-45, 44-54.

There is a 2-day order processing time, all deliveries will be made within 3 - 5 working days.

At the checkout, please select your delivery region in order to facilitate smooth delivery.

Returns need to made within 14 days in order for us to arrange a refund or swap out of product. The product needs to be retuned in the same condition as received. There will be a 10% handling fee for any damaged packaging.
